Financial giving can be divided into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering.
Why give to LWC?
Three reasons:
1. because we are giving ourselves away into one another, into our local community, and around the world. That’s worth supporting.
2. because the New Testament church “shared with all who had need.” We are trying to do the same. All of our support financially is needed in order to do so.
3. because the Scriptures say that God blesses those who are generous, especially supporting the ministries that He values. His local church matters. It’s worth giving into.
You can rest assured that our spending is trimmed slim so as to respect both what God would want done with His resources and what you would desire, too. We support a pastoral team dedicated to loving, teaching, resourcing, equipping, counseling, and ministering alongside an amazing church family. We have a beautiful campus composed of several buildings, housing ministries that equip & serve the body of Christ and community. We give ourselves away into both local and global community, trying to be faithful to give to the hungry, the thirsty, the sick, the imprisoned, the orphan, the widow, and the least of these (Matthew 25 and James 1).
So, be blessed by giving into and being a part of a church family that so desires to be a blessing to others.
Will I still receive a contribution statement? Yes, we will mail your year-end giving statement directly to your home address.
Is online giving secure? We've taken steps to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for "Secure Socket Layer", a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.
